Principal Roles Within The Club


The Club is run by a Management Committee consisting of Officers, representatives from different sections and ordinary elected members. The Management Committee is elected annually by members at the AGM and meets at least four times a year.

Here are some of the principal figures in the Club.

President Club figurehead who takes an active role in both Management Committee and local ASA affairs
Chairman Directs, manages and organises the Club through its Management Committee
Secretary Responsible for the effective and efficient administration of the Club
Treasurer Manages the Clubís financial assets and maintains a proper and permanent record of all of its financial transactions
Head Coach Responsible for the planning and directing of all teaching and coaching of swimming throughout the Club and carries out coaching duties as agreed with the Management Committee
Membership Secretary Maintains complete membership records and collects all fees
Gala Secretary Ensures the smooth running of all galas in which the Club is participating
Water Polo Secretary Ensures the Clubís water polo section operates efficiently including the arranging and completion of fixtures
Fixtures Secretary Ensures that the Club has an appropriate fixture list and that these fixtures are properly organised
Welfare Officer
Main point of contact on all matters relating to welfare & child protection
Team Manager Ensures the proper and efficient organisation of the Clubís swimming teams
Club Captains Main point of contact & liaison for all junior club members
